Sausage and peppers simmering in red sauce is so easy to make and can be placed in pretty much whatever vessel you want it with whether it be rolls, a bed of pasta or even rice! This one pot recipe is so simple and it comes out tender and delicious every time.

Ingredients
- 12 Italian sausages
- 2 Peppers, chopped
- 1 Large onion, chopped
- 2 Jars of your favorite tomato sauce
- 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 Tbsp Crushed Red Pepper
- 2 Tbsp Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large pot/dutch oven on medium high.
- When oil is hot, place sausages in batches in the pot and brown on both sides.
- Remove sausages and set aside once browned.
- Add remaining tablespoon of olive oil to the pot and add chopped vegetables.
- Season peppers and onion with salt and pepper.
- Stir vegetables until theyre slightly softened and have a little brown on them, about 10 minutes.
- Add back in the sausages and the juices.
- Add tomato sauce.
- Add crushed red pepper and Italian seasoning.
- Season with salt for taste.
- Bring to a boil and then turn to low and cover with a lid for about 1-2 hours.
- Serve with whatever carb you prefer!
